Privacy Policy for Memory Tower
Memory Tower is a single-player memory game. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no in-app purchases, and it never asks you to type in your name, email address or any other personal detail. This policy explains the one thing the app does do with data: it shows ads and measures how the game is played, using Google services that collect information from your device.
In this policy, "we" and "us" mean the developer of Memory Tower, whose contact details are at the bottom of this page.
1. Information collected
We do not operate our own servers and we do not collect or receive any information from you directly. All of the data described below is collected by Google's software development kits (SDKs) that are built into the app, and is sent to Google, not to us. We see only aggregated reports built from it.
| Service | What it collects | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob (advertising) |
Advertising ID (Android Advertising ID), IP address, device model, operating system version, coarse location derived from the IP address, and interactions with ads such as views and clicks. | To select, deliver and measure the interstitial ads shown between games, to limit how often the same ad is repeated, and to detect invalid traffic and fraud. |
| Google Analytics for Firebase (app measurement) |
A randomly generated app instance identifier, device model, operating system version, app version, country or region derived from the IP address, and in-app events — specifically: the app being opened, the first-run tutorial being completed, a round being cleared, a run ending (with the round reached and the score), reaching round 5, and an ad being shown together with the revenue that ad earned. | To understand how many people play, how long they keep playing, where the game is too hard or too easy, and whether advertising the game is worth what it costs. |
| Stored on your device only | Your best score, whether you have seen the tutorial, and a flag recording milestone events that have already been reported. | To keep your personal best between sessions and to avoid replaying the tutorial. This data stays in the app's local storage on your device and is not transmitted to us. |
Memory Tower does not request the microphone, camera, contacts, photos, precise GPS location, or any other sensitive device permission.
2. How the information is used
- To show advertisements, which is how the game is funded — it is otherwise free and has no purchases.
- To measure how the game performs: retention, how far players get, and how much ad revenue a player generates.
- To measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns that promote Memory Tower, including campaigns run through Google Ads.
- To detect and prevent fraud, invalid ad traffic, and technical faults.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone other than the Google services named in this policy.
3. Advertising partners
Advertising in Memory Tower is served by Google AdMob. Google may use the device identifiers described above to show ads that are personalised to your interests, including ads based on your activity in other apps and on websites.

4. Your choices and data deletion
You control the identifiers the app can be tracked by, from your device settings — you do not need to contact us to do any of this:
- Turn off personalised ads. On Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID (or Opt out of Ads Personalisation on older versions). You will still see ads, but they will not be based on your interests.
- Reset your advertising ID at any time from the same screen, which disconnects future ad activity from past activity.
- Uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes all locally stored data — your best score, tutorial flag and milestone flags — from your device permanently.
If you would like the analytics data associated with your app installation deleted, email us at the address below from the account you can be reached at and tell us which device and roughly when you played. Because the data is tied to a random installation identifier rather than to you, we may need that information to locate it. We will action the request within 30 days.
5. Data retention
Analytics event data is retained by Google Analytics for the retention period configured on our Firebase project and then deleted automatically. Advertising data is retained by Google according to its own policies, linked above. Locally stored data remains on your device until you uninstall the app or clear its storage.
6. Children
Memory Tower is not directed to children. It is rated and targeted for a general adult audience, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has used the app and you would like the associated data removed, contact us and we will delete it.
7. International transfers
The Google services used by the app process data on servers located in the United States and other countries. By using Memory Tower you understand that your information may be processed outside your country of residence, under the safeguards described in Google's privacy policy.
8. Security
We hold no personal data ourselves, which removes most of the risk. The data handled by the Google SDKs is transmitted over encrypted connections and secured by Google. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices change — for example if a new SDK is added — this page will be updated and the "last updated" date at the top changed. Material changes will also be reflected in the app's Google Play Data safety section. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
